Update

Gratitude is the word of the day for me! As I sit here next to my fiance (yes it's still weird to say that) on our way back to Indianapolis I am just really grateful for everything I've got going on. I think that sometimes when school and work take over, and you suddenly find that you have no time for friends and/or family it is so easy to settle into a less that happy mood. I know that right now, for me anyway, school is harder than ever, and going out happens less and less all the time. I get really caught up in comparing my life to others and thinking things like, "Why do I have to work during school when 89% of my classmates do not,' and, "Why can't I live close enough to get to see Josh during the week,' and finally, "What happens when I graduate and cannot find a job and all of this proves to have been the biggest waste of time ever?" So I try to take advantage of moments like this to remember that there are several good things going on in my life that in the end far outweigh the stressors!

Wedding wise, Josh really liked Mavris, and we put a deposit down on Friday. I am really excited to at least have that part decided. I am still trying to find a church for the ceremony, but it is proving to be really hard to find a place that looks like a church and doesn't want me to change my religion to have a ceremony there. (For a moment last week I considered becoming Catholic for all the wrong reasons after seeing how beautiful the Catholic Churches around down town Indianapolis are!)

We also ate at Pipers, and were not disappointed at all! Food was terrific, and lots of it for the money. Needless to say the diet went out the window for the weekend, but hey you've gotta let yourself cheat every now and again!

I am going to continue to look for a church until March, and then I am just going to go with the same location for both the ceremony and reception. The most important part of all of this is that I am getting married, so I guess it doesn't really matter where it happens!

I am really happy this is a short week! Have a good one!

  1. My wedding and reception was at the same location because our ouside ceremony got rained out. It worked great, no having guests try to figure out how to get from point A to point B, no quests waiting long periods of time for the wedding party to get done with pictures at the church. If you choose that option know that it works well. :)
